A better way to bet

Stop guessing.
Start using data.

Most punters rely on gut feel, racing tips, or half-read form guides. FormSense is built differently — a systematic, data-driven approach developed over thousands of hours to find a genuine, measurable edge in thoroughbred racing.

The boring (important) part

How it works — layer by layer.

FormSense isn't a single algorithm or a gut feel dressed up in data. It's multiple layers of analysis stacked on top of each other — each one filtering, ranking, and verifying what the last one found. The process that runs every race day looks like this:

01
Raw form data — every runner, every start
We pull comprehensive race data for every horse in every race: career history, recent starts, distance records, track records, conditions faced, prize money earned, jockey and trainer statistics. 103 individual data points captured per horse per race. Nothing missed, nothing approximated.
↓
02
FormScore — the form rating
Each horse receives a composite FormScore built from weighted combinations of the 103 data inputs. The score measures how well each horse's form characteristics match conditions it has historically performed in — distance, track condition, class, freshness, recent form trend and more. Scores range across a standardised scale, ranked within each field.
↓
03
Winner DNA — what winning horses look like
We analysed thousands of winners to identify the combination of characteristics — IV (Impact Value) and ROI — that appear most consistently in winning performances under specific conditions. This creates a profile of what a winning horse in a specific race situation looks like before the race is run. Horses that match are scored higher. Those that don't are filtered lower.
↓
04
Profit signals — where the edge lives
108 individual profit signals, each targeting a specific combination of FormScore range, track condition, and price bracket. Each signal was only included if it passed our three-gate filter: Capped ROI ≥15%, Net Win Rate ≥15%, and positive median net P&L. Every signal has a minimum of 10 historical fires before being considered. Signals that don't meet the bar don't make it through.
↓
05
Signal agreement — letting the best rise to the top
The strongest bets are the ones where multiple signals agree. When two independent signal versions both fire on the same horse in the same race, confidence increases significantly. This double-agreement filter keeps only the highest-conviction bets. Volume is sacrificed for quality. Fewer bets, better bets.
↓
06
Daily card — ready by 11:05am
The output is a clean, structured bet card — win and place signals for that day's racing, with unit staking, flexi percentages for exotics, and the signal logic behind each pick. No noise. No maybes. Just the bets that made it through every layer.
The data points

What goes into every score.

Each horse is evaluated across a wide range of form characteristics before a score is assigned. This is not a single metric. It's the combination of factors — and how they interact with each other under specific race conditions — that separates the profitable patterns from the noise.

The good news

What the signals say.

Every signal in the FormSense library has been tested against real historical race data. Not back-tested on a spreadsheet — tested against full race results including starting prices, field sizes, and track conditions. Only signals that pass all three gates make it in. Here's what the active library looks like:

Signal Library — the numbers behind the filter
3,600+
Signal combinations evaluated and tested
108
That passed every gate — currently active
2.3%
Pass rate — only the best make it through
≥15%
Minimum net win rate required
≥15%
Minimum capped ROI required
10+

Over 3,600 signal combinations were built, tested, and evaluated before arriving at the 108 that are active today. That's not a figure of speech — that's the actual count across every scoring version, condition, price bracket, and bet type combination the system has ever run. Over 3,492 didn't make the cut.

Signals are grouped by track condition — good, soft, and heavy — and by price range. A signal designed for a $3–5 horse in good conditions is a completely different signal to one designed for a $6–10 horse in soft conditions. Specificity is what creates the edge. Broad, vague systems dilute the signal. Ours are surgical.

The system is also honest about what it doesn't know yet. Heavy track signals are deliberately limited — heavy tracks produce fewer races, meaning less historical data and less confidence. We'd rather have 3 verified heavy signals than 30 questionable ones.

"We don't promise wins. We promise a system that has a mathematically verified edge — and the discipline to stick to it."

In practice

What a FormSense day actually looks like.

The system is designed to be simple on your end. The complexity happens behind the scenes, every morning before you've had breakfast.

A typical race day

From 6am
Live race data pulled Form data for every runner in every race is fetched and processed. Track conditions confirmed. Scratchings applied.
By 11:05am
Bets are ready Every race scored. Signals fired. Double-agreements identified. Your daily card is live in the app — win bets, place bets, exotics (if applicable). Unit sizes set. Everything ready to place.
Race day
You place the bets, we do the maths Up to 40 units staked across the day, capped at 5% of your bankroll. Flexi percentages keep exotic bets sized correctly. No guessing on how much to bet.
That evening
Results recorded automatically The system pulls race results and calculates your P&L for the day. Everything logged to your Profit Journal. Every bet tracked, every return calculated, running cumulative P&L updated.
Monday
Bankroll updated, unit value recalculated Your unit value is recalculated weekly based on your bankroll. If you're up, the system scales up slightly. If you're down, it scales back. The staking system protects you automatically.
The mindset

This is for people who are done losing.

Not people who have never bet before. Not people looking for a sure thing — there's no such thing and we won't pretend otherwise. FormSense is for the punter who already loves racing, has been betting for years, and is genuinely sick of coming home with less money than they started with.

You don't need to understand the mathematics. You don't need to read form for hours. You need to follow the system, trust the data, and give it enough time to work. That's it. The variance will work against you sometimes. The edge will work for you over time. That's how every profitable system in the world operates — whether it's a hedge fund, a poker player, or a racing tipster who actually knows what they're doing.

The starting bankroll is $5,000. The recommended entry is $199/month for year one. For someone spending $100/week on racing with nothing to show for it, the maths speak for themselves.
